Some time ago the National Trust approached me for a design they could apply to their gift range. They have just released the product shots and these should be on their shop site this week – here’s a sneak preview….

Unlimited Editions – ‘I is for India’

New giclée print for Unlimited Editions Open House. I had drawn a peacock intended for a screenprint and thought I could put it into some context so… peacock = national bird of India + a nice touch of texture + a bit of pattern = vintage travel poster/sticker. This could be the first of a series with more national birds to follow.

Unlimited Editions Alphabet

The lovely Sara at Unlimited Editions has invited me to submit a print for their Open House show. The Artist Open House exhibitions are of course part of the annual Brighton Fringe Festival – a chuffing good excuse for a visit to Brighton throughout May. Check their site for the opening times etc, you might also get to meet the very cute resident hound, Honey!

Unlimited’s show is based on letters of the alphabet and I am contributing the letter i. So thinking caps on…something nature-based..beginning with i..hmmm?

Other artists/designers involved include Sean Hennessy, Josie Jo, Jessie Ford and Lucie Sheriden – it promises to be a feast for the eyes!

I’ll show you what I come up with in the next couple of weeks.

Summer swifts giclée

All the recent gorgeous weather got me dreaming of balmy summer evenings. This image had been in my sketch book for a couple of years. I always knew it needed too much texture and detail to ever be a screen print so it will be available as a limited edition giclée as of May.

Its working title has been ‘Swallows at Dusk’ but I now know that it is Swifts that fly at dusk during the British summers.

As with the other new giclées, drop me an email if you want to reserve your ‘Summer Swifts’ in the meantime. (£30 each)

Keeping with the same themes as the last print, ‘Skimmer’ is soon to be printed as an A3 giclée and will be available in May.

Latest print design finished. Yet to be titled, this A3 will be a high quality digital print. I’m aiming to get as many more done as possible before May. These will be available at the Claremont Hotel in Hove and on my online shop from May. More to follow……

During my daily visit to the wonderful print&pattern blog, I saw these delicious pattern designs by Luckyday studios who will soon be exhibiting at Surtex in NY. What beautiful colours mmmmm!

Brighton Festival Shows

You will be able to see/buy a selection of my prints at 2 shows in this years festival. The first invite came from the lovely folk at artymagazine . They are curating a group show at a ‘pop up gallery’ at Gallery40 right slap bang in the middle of Brighton’s North Laines.

Other artists involved include John Dilnot, Rentaro Nishimura, Mark Powell and Seiko – all look amazing but I could not find direct links to many others websites. Anyway, come along throughout May and you can see them all in the flesh. A great variety that’s for sure!

The other exhibition will be at the Claremont Hotel on Second Avenue, Hove. Here I shall be launching a new collection of affordable giclee prints which will also be available on my shop.

Temporary Shop Closure

I will need to shut up shop for a couple of weeks whilst I move house. All the prints need to be safely packed up for transit so will be unavailable to purchase for a short while. You are still welcome to place an order but there will be a delay in posting.

I will let you know when things are up and running again – hopefully by the end of January.

Feel free to get in touch anyway. I’ll reply just as soon as i can.
