Illustration-a-month: August

Another month comes to a close and I’m back to drawing my favourite subject: gardens! And even though we’re tipping over into late Summer now, it’s all still bright colour and fragrance. Butterflies are as busy as ever and the Peacock variety contrast particularly well with a mauve Buddliea.

Sunflowers tower over the hedges and beyond this stretches freshly harvested wheat fields. High above, jet trails gradually disperse into a cloudless blue sky.

This is the penultimate ‘illustration-per-month’, just September to go then whole year has been completed.
